Technology: Platowood exclusive technology – Nano Calcium

It is a hydrothermal modification method combined with lime slake reaction under high temperature and pressure conditions, the wood is compressed and Nano Calcium is added, changing the physical and chemical properties, helping the wood increase hardness, durability and dimensional stability. The wood is alkalized and increases the ability to resist mold and termites. In addition, the wood also changes to a darker color, with clear wood grain, increasing the aesthetics of the product and construction.

INGREDIENTS

The raw materials used are plantation wood, with legal forest certification and imported from reputable suppliers. Bamboo is FSC certified – sustainable forest management standards.

STEP 1: Hydrothermal combined with nanocalcium.

The hydropyrolysis process is a process of heating wet wood under high pressure combined with lime slaked reaction, creating an alkaline environment and nano-sized calcium particles mixed with saturated steam.
First, the wooden boards are brought into the steamer by trolley. Inside the steamer, the wood is heated by saturated steam under high pressure. At this point, the wood has been heat treated and pushed out harmful substances. Under high pressure, it will be compressed, the wood will be harder, and the wood cells will be rearranged..

STEP 2: Wood stabilization – moisture treatment

After hydrothermal treatment, the wood needs to be dried before the final stage of the process can be carried out. Once the drying chamber is filled with heat-treated wood, the wood is dried again to a moisture content of approximately 8%, over a period of 3-5 days.

STEP 3: Solding phases

During the curing process, when the wood reaches 8% moisture content, the kiln is heated in dry air. Depending on the type of wood and the size of the grain, the workers will process and cool it again for about 8-12 hours. During the curing process, it is essential that the oxygen level is below 2%, mainly to prevent burning.

After processing, Plato wood is conditioned at a wood moisture content of about 3-5% in a drying chamber for about 1-3 days.
Then it is left in the warehouse for about 10-15 days to stabilize the wood and it is ready for use.

ADVANTAGES OF PLATO HYDROTHERMAL MODIFIED WOOD COMBINED WITH INORGANIC NANO Static bending strength (MOR) and compressive strength parallel to the grain are much higher than that of kiln-dried sawn timber. This technique is not achieved by any other existing modification technology on the market. This is the outstanding strength of Bamboo King Vina’s modification technology. Production processes such as sawing, planing, sanding, milling and drilling do not affect the durability of the wood at all.
